nice to meet you!
welcome to your midlife magnificence
I'm Liza Baker (it's pronounced Leeza), and I'm a passionate advocate for women’s wellness in midlife and beyond. With a background in foreign languages, culinary arts, and holistic health (weird—and it all makes sense, really), I help you—the midlife woman who just KNOWS there's more to this season—to stop performing wellness and start embodying it, to stop fixing your broken and start gently unfurling your perfect.
I bring my passion, knowledge, and experience to the table to make your wellness journey poetic and practical, sweet and sustainable. Let's help you step into your midlife magnificence.

what i invite you into
My sweet spot as a coach is supporting women 50+ who feel under-appreciated, under-listened to, under-taken-care-of, under-valued, overwhelmed, overworked, over-scheduled, overtired, and—let's be honest—OVER. IT. ALL.
I invite you to step into your midlife magnificence:
- Come home to yourself, led by your inner wisdom.
- Discover and embody the practices and rituals that align with your values and your reality.
- Step into soul care rooted in this glorious, brilliant season of your life.
- Own your midlife powers and use them for good—your own as well as that of your community and our precious planet.
my philosophy
Midlife is a season of abundance, not decline. You're not falling apart—you’re shedding what no longer fits.
Food is nourishment, not a battleground. Every craving is a sacred message. Every hunger and emotion points toward a deeper unmet desire.
Soul care outranks self-care. Self-care is a checklist put together by external forces and sources; soul care is aligned action taken after a serious conversation with your inner wisdom.
Wellness is not a prescription. It’s an inside job rooted in curiosity, intuition, values, alignment, natural rhythms, rituals, and practices.
Transformation doesn’t require force driven by your masculine energy. It yearns for alignment and resonance invited by your divine feminine energy.
my background
In my previous lives, I got my BA in Chinese Language + Literature and my MA in Chinese Literature.
I received my health coach certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition® and an AAS in Culinary Arts from the Cooking + Hospitality Institute of Chicago (later part of Le Cordon Bleu).
In the years BC (before children), I was the owner and executive chef of a catering and private chef company in Chicago, and I’ve taught meal planning, cooking, and nutrition to all ages—from 7 to 97!
I live in a (mostly) empty nest in South Burlington, VT and am passionate about health + happiness, education + empowerment, SOLE/SOUL food + social justice.

praise
I always look forward to my sessions with Liza. It's like standing at the mouth of a dark cave I'm not ready to go into and having her show up with the flashlight.

HEALTH COACH + 1:1 CLIENT
The self reflection I was empowered to do was life changing. The short amount of time I worked with Liza I embarked on more personal growth than I could have even begun to see on my own in years. I am learning to reflect on setbacks in a different light. The tools I take with me will stay with me.

Liza helped to be the ear that I so needed, especially as I tried to balance work, family, and everything else. She really helped me to search within myself for answers [and] is a wonderful listener and coach. She is the ever-present cheerleader and will not let you feel discouraged or defeated.
